Welcome to my website.  Let me start off by telling you a little about my book, I’ve Never Lived Here.

Fourteen-year-old Alex Sullivan is not that concerned with the trouble he gets into. He figures he’s having a good time and if he gets in trouble, well, that’s life.

His father, an architect away on business trips, barely notices him. He likes Alex and cares about him, but he hasn’t a clue how much effort is needed to take care of him. Ever since Alex’s mother died, six years ago, they haven’t been a family but are just two people.

This is the story of those two people struggling to connect while making every possible mistake.

Set in modern day in a small town outside of Peekskill, New York, I’ve Never Lived Here explores how an adolescent can be alone and lonely in a family. How a parent can have good motives and love his child, but still blow it. How the two of them can strive to get it right, to connect, to get away from being alone. How they will or won’t succeed in being together as a family again.
